"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

The previous post

is more than plain truth.  It is an awareness that man has changed clarity and no longer has the knowledge of right and wrong. We no longer see everything as black and white and instead blur the lines and live in a shade of gray.

The truth is simple.
The world is black and white.  We have a standard set by the Creator.  Truth is and will always be truth and lies will always be lies.

Gray is man muddling the water.

We must remember that whenever one begins to suggest that something is in a gray area, that this person has left the truth and ventured off into a place that changes with the blowing of the wind and the whims of man.

I stand in Truth.

I am not perfect, but I try quite diligently to live the life granted me by the Creator.  I believe wholeheartedly in the Bible.  I believe that the muddled water by man has driven the master of confusion into bliss.  Satan is this master and wishes for nothing but man to take their eyes off of God and live in times where up is down and vise-versa.  In spite of the world and the actions by man, a believer and follower of Jesus Christ the Messiah, lives separately.  We are not to blend or join the gray masses.

With that I shall continue to live with my heart, mind, and soul directed towards God.

Defining Words

The words I am going to define are for ever, forever, and remember.

The words for and ever are defined as:
for-1. with the object or purpose of. 2. intended to belong to or be used in connection with.(1)
ever 1.at any time. 2. in any possible case. 3. at all times.(2)
Therefore the words for and ever combined mean with the purpose of in or at all times.

The word forever is defined as 1. without ever ending in time. 2. constantly or incessantly.(3)
Therefore forever is endless and continues on without interruption.

Remember is defined as 1. to recall to the mind by using memory. 2. to keep in mind. 3. something that serves to bring to or keep in mind.(4)

I selected these words because the Bible uses these words and to the best of my experience in Christian Churches these words have been ignored or redefined.  I pray as I am typing not to anger those that may read this post, as that is not my goal.  We live in times that many shake their heads and wonder how we arrived at the situation we are in.  I am leaning towards the idea that whether knowingly or unknowingly man switched the meaning of what God said in His Holy Word, the Bible.

In Leviticus 23 God is speaking with Moses and he says to Moses: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.  Lev 23:2

The feasts of the Bible located in the Old Testament are not the Jewish feasts, but the feasts of the LORD.   All twelve tribes were at Mt. Sinai. In fact, there were also numerous people that fled with the Hebrews away from Pharaoh.  This is very important to understand.  The Ten Commandments were not given only to the Jew nor were the feasts of Leviticus 23.  If you read Exodus 12:48-49, you realize that those that fled, became one with the Hebrews and then participated in the feasts and were given the law.  One law for the homeborn and the stranger.

When reading the New Testament especially the Gospels when Jesus Christ walked the earth, it is impossible to miss that the disciples and Jesus celebrated the feasts.  In fact, the feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits become switched to the modern narrative of the passion week.

We are told in 1 John 2:3-6 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
We are to walk as Jesus walked.  None of this what would Jesus do nonsense, rather it should be what DID Jesus do...as His example is how we are to live. He kept the feasts of the LORD, yet pretty much only the Jews keep the feasts today. I recognize that some are beginning to awaken to this realization that if one is a follower of Jesus, one need to walk as he did.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Matthew 7:20
This verse means that others should be able to identify those that are walking as Jesus walked by their lives and what they do.  This is not a requirement for salvation, but something that occurs after one is saved.

Yet, man in his ways was able to convince the world that God did not mean what he said. Constantine changed the course of Christianity by stating:"Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday (Sabbath), but shall work on that Day: but the Lord’s Day, they shall especially honour; and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out from Christ."(5)

Imagine being told if you worked on the sabbath you could be shut out from Christ.  This is insane and yet this occurred.  If Judaizing was bad then those that wished not to be shut out from Christ would jump ship and try and do nothing similar to what the Jews were doing.

Let me make this clear, those Jews that did not recognize that Jesus was the Messiah were wrong, but here's the sad thing, we Christians that allowed a man to change Christianity are also wrong.  God does not change.
For I am the LORD, I change not. Malachi 3:6
The feast of Leviticus 23 are God's feasts.  They are to be kept forever as a holy convocation (Leviticus 23:21) and a memorial (Leviticus 23:24).

Those that Moses spoke to were all those at Mt. Sinai.  I know I am repeating myself but I need to not only for the reader, but for me. Undoing wrongs are never easy.

Those at the foot of Mt. Sinai were the 12 tribes of Israel.  This is critical and this also includes the stranger that joined, as in the New Testament we learn that once we accept our Saviour, we are grafted in, as it says in Romans 11.  Well I will tell you that once you are grafted in you become part of Israel.  Knowing that you are now part of Israel(the 12 tribes, and the stranger that receives Him) Matthew 15:24 makes sense, as Jesus himself says I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

His bride is not the common saying that Christians hear over and over, you know that you are now part of the body of believers.  This is not what Jesus said, as He is coming for the bride which is all those that are grafted into Israel.  This is the new covenant which is in Jeremiah 31:31-34.

As Christians we have changed keeping the feasts of the LORD forever to mean only the Jew keep the feasts of the LORD forever.  We are under "grace," not the law.   Keeping the LORD'S feasts are bondage.

I find it bondage to redefine words.

I find it bondage to suggest that the new covenant means
one can sin and live, eat, and drink differently than
Jesus, yet be one of His.

I am a totally different follower of Jesus than I was when I simply went to church, listened, nodded, and felt good for the moment, and then went home and continued to live my way, my choice without applying the standard that 1 John 2:3-6 states.

If we wish to ponder why the rainbow has been stolen, and how an abomination to the LORD is now mainstream, we must first look in house and turn over some tables, and throw out the money changers, if I can borrow the actions that Christ did.

I defined remember to use in an upcoming post.  The Ten Commandments uses the word remember.  It is amazing how God knew that some day man would forget one of the ten, all the while suggesting that the other nine are still valid(by stating that Christ only repeated 9 in the NT).  This is the slope I am talking about. If Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, then, the sabbath must STILL exist.  It is not a spiritual rest alone, but an actual day, set aside.  More later on this.

Back to my post.  For ever means forever.  God said to keep His feasts forever and much of those calling themselves Christians decided that God does not mean forever, and perhaps he changes just a bit.

I will close with a verse that really made me begin to study the word.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Matthew 7: 22-23

All About Me

This is an updated post to share with those that stop by a bit about me, the author of the Double Nickel Farm blog.  It is easier to describe or define me with visual aids, so here goes~
I am a bride.  Well I feel like I am still a bride although in
August 2015 we will celebrate our 27th anniversary.
That handsome man in the tux is my Bill and I love him ever
so much.

I am an American.

I am simple and love picnics and getaways to quiet places.
This was from an anniversary picnic a few years ago.

I love romantic gestures. My Bill gave
me this heart shaped root and I love it.

I love that I see the Creator's hand each and every day
as this is the view from my front porch.

I confess I look for sweetness and goodness. Isn't this
precious, our little lamb Obed was born with a heart in his
wool.

I love animals and watching them playful
is incredible. What was a simple cover from
the sun became a slide for the lambikins!

The goats wanted more so they had a tire playground to
hop upon and run under!

The chickens needed only the sheep.
I have loved watching the animals and take quite seriously
that man has dominion over the animals.
This is not an abusive, powerful situation, but one
of care, compassion, and respect.

Although this is not first photo, it is first in my life. I am
one that studies, prays, reads, and shares what is found
in the Bible.  In fact, if you would like, I will send
YOU a Bible for your very own.  Simply leave your
name and address in the comments and I will send you
one.

I look for goodness in spite of the world, and guess what?
I can find goodness all the time. This is an actual
intersection in NM.  Bill and I stopped for a roadside
picnic and after we ate I noticed the signs. Amazing isn't it?

Oh I love onions.  I still remember as a little
girl eating onions like they were apples.
I am alone in this love unless they are cooked.
I am not saddened though, as the less others
like, the more for me!!

Oh I am corny.  Really corny. This heart shaped
wire thingie Bill made for my garden gate.
I LOVE IT.

I made this for my Bill.  To share how difficult this was, I must
share that I climbed the highest mountain (of sand) at The White
Sands National Monument to engrave this profession.  No I am
not in 6th grade...but I do think marriage is something that
I should place first and foremost (after God) in all that I do.

This is the road heading away from the farm.  I love
solitude. I love that the less traveled road has made all
the difference in my life. The only travelers on this road
are my family. It isn't really even noticed from the other
roads.  Simple is really lovely.

I love rocks.  Oh my goodness!  I used to be embarrassed
to admit this. Now I use the rocks to share about
the Creator.

I love to create things.  The heads are from
gourds and the clothes from old clothes
and the wire from baling wire.  You get the idea.
Many times I will stash something in my craft
room planning a project.

Although a very old photo of me,
it is representative of me
today. My hair is wavy and usually
windblown(I live in New Mexico after all)
and note the feet...that is me 24-7.
Oh the darn goatheads and thorns of NM,
you many poke me, but I will not change!

Another oldie but one that captures the me
of today.  The eyelashes and eyebrows always
were dark and the hair was blondie brown(aside from
a few years of dying it).  Now the eyelashes and eyebrows
are dark and the hair is blondie but mostly gray~

My life and the roads around my house have as many of the
four footed critters on them as they do vehicles.
It is pretty neat to see cattle here and there and everywhere.

I have mentioned how I love to create.
This is a rag rug made from old tee shirts. I discovered
awhile ago that many things are better when you handcraft
them yourself. What began as necessity turned in to something
that brightens the home.

As I create I try and capture the simplicity of life. This is a
relief I made of New Mexico. Unfired...

I am like this photo very much.  In the midst of a storm is
hope, happiness, joy, love and clarity.  In the midst of the
world is me, the chaos may surround me, but I am and will
always be strong as I am anchored with my Savior.

But who I really am is thanks to my Bill and even though
my goof troop is grown...I am and will always be mom

My life and my story is one of simplicity, love, faith
in God, family, deep love for my Bill and laughter...

With laughter life has been ever so wonderful.

I am my as my moniker has defined me...Humble Wife
grateful for the life I have, the family I have, and the faith in
my Creator.

The rainbow

was part of the discussion last night at Bible study.  One person was so upset that the White House lit up in rainbow colors.  I told him I was not upset.

God told us about the rainbow in the Bible in Genesis 9.

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13

The rainbow was taken as a symbol by a group of people and it has been seen as theirs to flaunt or wave anywhere.  I see this as the typical attempt by the enemy(of God), as this enemy cannot create anything and must steal from God everything.

This group or type of people is not new.  They have always been around.  Oh and for the record, sin has been around since Eve was beguiled by the enemy.  That time it was with a tree God created, this time it is with the rainbow which God also created.

I see the rainbow as a promise.  I see the rainbow as something that reminds me of a great tragedy that must never be forgotten.  I do not see the rainbow as the symbol of sin no matter how hard I squint at it or how very hard sin tries to encircle it.

In Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

We need not wonder what evil thoughts and imaginations were happening.  We see them each and every day in the news.  The squashing of what God established does not change that God exists or that one day He will complete what He told us in His word.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, Matthew 24:37-38

Like in the days of Noe, many will be unaware of what is happening or going to happen. I am saddened because it need not be this way.

Anyhow, as the world cheers by the ruling of the Supreme Court, I stand and look at the rainbow ever so present everywhere on the web and reflect about God and the promise He made and the promises He has made to what is going to happen.

Oh and I love the rainbow.  I go out after every storm to see it, as it is such a creation filled with promise.  I am not changed by the world stage and the players therein.  I am and always will be a believer in the Bible.
