"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Happy Birthday Fourth

Once a mom, always a mom...as I am sharing my precious baby, that is no longer a baby. She is 19 today. I cannot believe this sometimes as we weren't given the most optimistic outlook for her survival.

I tear up thinking upon that.

In no particular order I will share my Fourth.
She is an animal lover

Her smile has stolen my heart.

She is a goof with friends here, there, and everywhere...requiring
skype to keep up with some.

She loves her brothers and visits or connects with them
practically every day.

She was a blondie for many years, with Shirley Temple curls.

She is very creative.

She has been in two weddings in the past several weeks,
one for a new sister (in law), and the other a bestie friend.

She loves music and went to a bridal shower at a country concert.
She was born 73 days early. I will type that again. 73 days early

Fourth has three wonderful brothers.

And oh she looks so cute in red!

And in braids...

And in snow!
She dressed up when her big brother came home while in the Army.
No matter what she does, she soars in her efforts~
Oh she makes me smile~her brothers do too!

Each day has been a gift with her.

The farm has been a place to see her interact with animals.
She as a way with the furry, wooly, feathery friends!

I  will always see my daughter as amazing.
She can do anything that she sets her mind upon.

Oh and is she a smarty.  I love talking to her and hearing
her thoughts as I am at times astounded at her thoughts.

My baby is a lovely young woman now.

Who always makes me smile.

Oh dear Fourth Happy Happy Birthday~

Holy Days of the Bible

We are in the middle of the three fall Feasts:
Stay tuned for a post about the Feasts in the Bible...

If you are wondering about the Feasts, feel free to read Leviticus 23,
1 Corinthians 5:8, and Colossians 2:16-17.

The Feasts are to be kept for ever.
They are not the Feasts of the Jew
but are Feasts of the LORD.

It has rained a good deal lately

and it is evident all about the farm.
Our wagon shows how much rain we have had in the past
2 days.

Oh the noxious weeds are rampant.

With all the heavy rains in the past few weeks, we have a large
amount of surprise plants, here, there, and everywhere.
I thank the chickens!

Now this was a pumpkin I had tossed to the chicks.

The edge of our yard has a surprise gourd plant~I think it is a gourd plant.

Marigolds and such...outside the rock garden.

 and another.
Like a few years ago, the mesquite have become
trellises for the plants about the property!

I just walked through that puddle myself a few minutes ago.
It was like the bottom of a pond or lake.  Squishy~ as I was

This is the tire garden and it is usually tires with plants and the
ground it plain old New Mexico dirt.

Our pomegranate trees are overflowing.

As is everything else, even if a few need to be tossed.

Another pomegranate, looking nice.

The tire garden.

Another view. Those yellow flowers are weeds.  I really wish
they weren't as they are so lovely.  Instead they are so horrible
and with the rains, they are everywhere.

I think that the rains are over for a bit, and with
Athena photo-bombing this picture, I think I can close
my post with

For the Kitchen

I'm making some artwork for the kitchen.  Since Bill made the rustic log frame for the menorah I made, I have been thinking of making something for the kitchen.   My idea is a collection of tea pots that are about 8 x 11.  If I want to change the collection, I'll draw something else!
I am taking my first drawing class and I am loving it!
When we lived in Germany, I had a small tea pot collection,
but it took up too much space and I did not have room for it.

With drawings, I can take them down and replace them and it does
not take up space!

Thank you Bill for committing to making rustic log frames...
even though you don't know you are going to make them yet!

Did I mention

Second was married last weekend?
Yep.  His dad officiated.
His best man was Third~
One of his groomsmen was First~
And Fourth was a bridesmaid~

I was the designated person to cry.
I succeeded!

The third groomsman is a direct relative of George Coe...
you know: Lincoln County War, Billy the Kid,Lincoln County Regulators,
and he allowed Second to have his wedding on the Coe family ranch.
It is known by another name as well.
