"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
Dr. Adrian Rogers 1931-2005

I Can

do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13  This scripture is a favorite of mine.  I believe my strength, my pollyanna attitude, and my joy in life comes from knowing that I can do ALL things because of and through Jesus Christ.

Today I thought I would share a poster I saved from online.  I do now know who made it but if I find out I will give credit where credit is due.
I smiled when I saw this poster.   I like this.
My Bibles are in sorry shape.
I try hard to keep them nice but I cart them everywhere and
open them all the time.

Sometimes I write in them.
I have a Tim LaHaye Bible for the prophecy information*,
although I am not behind him in the series he wrote.
The second one from the top is a thrift store Bible.
I picked it up because it is encased in a hard cover
with a zipper!

I use sticky notes to help me in my current studies.
and I added the tabs for the books so it would be
easier to find in the Prophecy Bible as the pages are
so fine.
This is from my duct taped Bible.  This photo is when my oldest was
15 meaning...I put it in this Bible 9 years ago.  Before the duct tape
I sometimes felt a tad embarrassed as my Bible would come apart
during Bible study etc.

I make notes with whatever I have on hand at the moment.  I use pens
colored pencils, pencils, and even crayons.  The Bible is to be used
daily and the word Bible is a neat little acronym too...

With instructions on how to live, how to act, how to serve God...
I think it would be very important that more people cracked open
its pages.
At first I was uncomfortable with my markings and wear and tear on the
Bibles.  I mean it is His Holy Word...and I did not want to be irreverent.

Then I realized that each time I read the Word I discover something new.
I find the Word is relevant to my day today in 2013 as it was in 1995 or 2001.
I mark the passages or write my thoughts as how it impacted me in that moment.

Over the years I have been amazed at how the verses have been useful
in so many different situations.
I am thankful that I live in a nation that allows me to openly profess my

Another poster I saw online was of this simple question:

If you were charged with being a Christian, would there be enough
evidence to convict you?

I pray that I would be found guilty.

I do not share my Bibles to be smug and prove I am having a perfect
life because I read them.  I share my Bibles to show that my life is filled with
so many things, that  I need to find Comfort in the day.  I need know
that I was created with Purpose.  I am an imperfect person that has
a pretty wonderful life in spite of the world and what man does here.

I pray that this makes sense.
I am most certainly nothing without My Saviour.
And I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

If you would like a Bible so you can have instructions in life before
you leave earth...we would like to give you a Bible.  Please leave a comment here on this page...

*The Prophecy Bible links what percentage of the Bible is prophecy but it is a King James Bible and is not written by Tim LaHaye.  I like it because I can go through each Bible and find the prophetic verses with ease.
