"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
Dr. Adrian Rogers 1931-2005

County Fair 2015 # 3 Zebra Vase

Second's wife was my inspiration for the Zebra vase as she has so many zebra print items, and I wanted to make something for her.  I have never worked with ceramics before but I took a 3D class that had one section on ceramics and I ended up making three vases~One for Fourth, one for Second's wife, and one for Third's wife.
The Zebra vase received a first place ribbon and Reserve
Grand Champion.  The vase was hard to see while at
the fair as the ribbons kind of blocked the zebra.

I thought I would share the vase here.  I made the vase first
then slowly added the zebra having it wrap around completely.

I made his mane stick out off the vase!

I made his body completely.

I had a great time making the vase for
Second's Sweetie pie and gave it to her
today.  I am thankful that my daughter-in-law
really liked this vase,  as I wanted it to be
perfect, but~ I am so imperfect that it is hard to make
things perfect.  Instead I cherish the quirkiness that
has become my style!
