"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Mystic Mud Visits Double Nickel Farm Part 2

the five oldest Mud Crew.  In this post I am going to share about the next five.

6th- He was the first one I really got to know, as he is definitely the front man! He is fast, smart, and he made me laugh so much.  He also is without fear.  After meeting Bill and I for just a few minutes, he had decided to camp out in the room by us.   He is as comfortable in the crowd of older kids as he is with the younger kids.  And you should see him tackle ANYTHING.  I don't think he will ever see anything as an obstacle!  Although I am really not a fan of politicians, I would be if 6th ever decided to run for a political office.  He seems like he would not be afraid to do what is right no matter what the situation.  He is definitely that tactful.  He also is an outdoorsy young man!

7th-was a whirlwind of fresh air!  7th is so lovely and confident in every situation.  She too, opted to camp out in the room by Bill and I.  She allowed Bill to 'make' a sleeping bag for her with a comforter and giggled at how inventive it was.   She is a happy person and makes it hard not too smile when she is around.  Oh and 7th is fearless and a contender for most willing to take on a challenge.  7th did not wish to miss out on anything and embraced every moment as if it was the most important moment of her life!

8th-is the oldest of the second set of twins.  He truly was all boy.  8th reminds me of 3rd in his thinking.  8th is incredibly smart and from the moment I met him felt like I was speaking with someone far older.  He is one that takes in the big picture so he can then focus on the details.   He built a castle in the White Sands that was so detailed that I wanted to visit it.  He had a working farm outside the initial castle walls, and then added a pyramid up the hill a bit.  He saw the people that lived in his castle, he had roads for them, and occupations for them to head to...all the while, I don't think he has lost any of his teeth.  Yep, 8th although young in age is incredibly intelligent!

9th-youngest of twin set number 2!  He too, is all boy.  The stereotypical boy with his pockets loaded down with rocks, frogs, and matchbox cars fits 9th to a T!  9th also is without fear, and kept me laughing at what he was going to do next.  I have tried to remember if I ever saw him without a smile, and I can only see him with a smiling face.  He gives 100% in everything he does and he is one that looks beyond and sees more in life.  He is super competitive while accepting a loss with ease~and takes a loss as a challenge accepted to improve the next time around.  9th also is one that makes you want to snuggle bug.  He is adorable and sweet.

10th~what can I say about 10th?  I guess I should say what can't I say about tenth? He is 2 and such a goofy, sweet, magnetic little guy.  Oh and boy is he verbal!  He loves trains~well he loves pretty much everything and seeing the world through his eyes has been a real joy.   He was not convinced that the sand at White Sands was sand.  He thought it was snow and when we all piled out and began walking to the sand he broke into song~and not just any song~but a Christmas carol.  He sang Jingle Bells and my heart melted.  Imagine never seeing white sand but knowing what snow is, and what happens while it is snowy!  I love 10th and enjoyed how everyone else loved him too.  He was included in everything and enjoyed everything.

I confess that at times the world makes one feel down and gloomy...and the reality of life is that it may be, but also the world is filled with folks that are like the Mystic Mud gang and therefore, the world is not a bad place after all.

I am thankful Bill and I were able to meet this family and we look forward to seeing them again in our future!
