"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
Dr. Adrian Rogers 1931-2005

Poppity Pop Pop

A window to one of my favorite snacks...begins with hot air.
Air popper allows for me to have popcorn
my way~no butter...and a great midday snack.

I buy my popcorn from Azure Standard.
If you are fortunate enough to live in an area that
has Azure Standard delivery I smile alongside
with you.  Azure brings to my hometown
organic foods from all over at very reasonable prices.

I rarely endorse anything, yet I will stand and say that Azure
Standard makes possible organic for everyone.

This, That and The Other

The weather in New Mexico has been lovely and so I have been enjoying January days and less online. I do have a few things to share about this, that and the other...

Nothing special about popcorn~usually~but this popcorn is from my food storage and is 4 years old. So how did it taste? Absolutely delicious and fresh! I did not buy any special prepacked popcorn. I bought 50 lbs of popcorn~stored it in the freezer for 48 hours, and then packed the corn in a food grade bucket. I picked up my bucket from a local restaurant(free), washed it and sealed the corn in it. The lids still have the O rings which allow for the lid to be closed tightly.

Dinner tonight was chicken wraps, Spanish rice, and beans. What is special about this meal is that we eat this style meal often~beans, rice and tortillas. The wraps were filled with cooked chicken, spinach, tomatoes, avocados, and cheese~

This photo was taken in June. Third and itty bitty Samson.

This photo I took the other day, that Great Pyrenees grow so fast continues to amaze me!

The other thing happening on the farm is that I built a larger laundry room! Me~all by myself! I will take photos to share so please stay tuned!
