"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
Dr. Adrian Rogers 1931-2005

So What's Happening?

Sorry I have been away from the computer for a bit~here's a brief update:

Farm blurbs

~it is mating season for the sheep, so things are a bit woolly out and about.
~The coyotes are almost insane outside the perimeters of the farm.  We hear the yips and howls and the frenzy nearly every night. We are thankful for the working dogs that patrol each night.  Daytime treats have increased thanks to their diligence in protecting the farm.
~ I have been plotting and planning the spring gardens as well as the green house. I sometimes dream of my gardens so I can tell how much thought I have been applying to this!

For December

We are learning more about the feast of dedication and we will also share Biblical prophecy that was fulfilled by the birth of Christ.

On the blog~well I cannot upload any photos here, blogger tells me in the photo upload section that I have reached my limit of photo storage, but when I click to the link, I see that I have not.  Since blogger is a free hosting site, I am not complaining and have a solution I will soon share.

May your December not be stressful...nor filled with purchases because you feel the need to buy someone a present.  If you would like to give a present to someone we on the blog would like to suggest giving a Bible. You can request one here, or you can go to this website and purchase one yourself.

Please excuse the delay in posting the photo of April's cookbook giveaway.  I have been pretty sick and have been delayed in much of what I have been doing!

To the contest~ I thought I would give away a cookbook sharing recipes of New Mexico. Included are 175 recipes from the Land of Enchantment to include New Mexico Trout in Marinade,  Green Chile Jelly, and Spinach Noodles with Green Chile Sauce. I confess that I actually bought this last month for this giveaway, as I wished to share some of New Mexico with my readers.

Rules for April's giveaway~You may enter one time a day.(just leave a comment)
If you are a follower of this blog-say so and you will get five additional entry's.
Or you can begin following this blog(upper left corner) and you will receive five additional entry's.
Share this contest on your blog and you will receive 10 additional entry's.

At the end of each day I will be sure to tally the comments and the contest will close on April 30 and the winner will be announced on May 1.

By the way, one of the daily comments could be how you found this blog as I always wonder!

Take care and stay healthy!
