"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Playing Catch-up

Life is busy here on the farm and so the blogging is slow.  I thought I would share a photo montage of the past few weeks!
Since we have traveled this great county far and wide for several months, Bill and I have a Wednesday Window...allowing for anyone to guess where we are in the county.  Otero County, New Mexico is 6,620 sq miles. Otero County is larger than Rhode Island, Delaware, and Connecticut!
Answer: Cienega, New Mexico

Another Wednesday Window with my cutie pie!
Answer: Highway 54 outside Chaparral, New Mexico

This Wednesday Window had the builder of this small grocery store respond...he said he should know the place as he built it!  Piñon is approximately 70 people!
Answer: The Piñon Store!

Our time line of New Mexico. When I made this in 2006, I knew that Bill, the kids and I were going to be deeply joined in the roots of the state. We are now seeing our roots weaving in to the history. I love New Mexico and I am so thankful we live here.

I made it to the front page of the paper, with Fourth. We are on the far left!
The event was the annual Take Back the Night against Domestic Violence.

Another Wednesday Window with me this time. It is an easy one but we are trying to hit each community. By the way, I was at this site, quite a remote place when two women who were walking approached me.  They knew my name and then asked if they could pray for and with me with the upcoming election so close. It was a powerful testimony as I was praying as they walked up!
Answer: The Space Hall

This Memorial Day in Tularosa, New Mexico, I have been asked to be the guest speaker. It is an honor as they rarely have had a civilian as the guest speaker.

Our youngest son is a quarter of a century. I made this for him and I am so thankful he joined our family.  The entire Garza gang made it to the party and it was amazing!

We went to a Forum in Weed, NM and even though the power was out, over 150 plus people stayed and we enjoyed many guest speakers and the auction.  I was granted a moment to speak and was honored to share why I was running for Magistrate Court Judge.

The food was pot-luck and here is Bill with a friend.

Farm life is on hold as the campaigns race to the primary in June.  We are watching the fruit trees bloom and that is about it for farm projects. The grandchildren are growing-the oldest one turns 3 in June, the next 3 in October and the babies are 7 months and 5 months!!
