"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Well I love learning new things

even if it is of no real importance.
I went thrifting the other day and picked up $8.00 worth of books.  Some were directed towards youth but I found Lincoln's Grave Robbers fascinating.  I don't recall ever learning that there was an attempt to steal Abraham Lincoln's body.  I guess in the scheme of things it really didn't matter because it was unsuccessful.

I haven't read the book yet, but I have spent time online researching this little nugget from history and what I am amazed at, is how the plot was uncovered.  We think that because of technology that everyone knows our every move-which is most likely true, but in times past the nature of man allowed for the same information to spread.

With that, I challenge you to read for yourself about the attempt and discover how the plot was uncovered.

Have a great day!!
