"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

I looked out the window and what

did I see?  Tons of apricots on the apricot trees!

I have been drying the first batch of apricots.  I am using the solar dryer even though I am using my dehydrator trays.
We ended up with two large buckets of apricots. This is our first real harvest since we have planted them.

I wanted to use old school methods on the fruits so I washed, pitted and then flattened the apricots out.  No added citrus to stop coloring etc.

This is how they look day 2.  Bill came up with the idea to use the old gate and swingset end.  We have the ladder on the end not photographed. If it doesn't rain, they should be dry today!

Next I am going to freeze a bunch.
Finally I will can some preserves.
