"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Wednesday Window

Two new chairs for the table I bought in hopes of grands (wink wink) when Third got married.  Bill said  that we should wait on buying the chairs until a little arrived.  I bought the chairs last Friday.  As time passes we will add a few more chairs, but for now two chairs for two grands.  They checked out the chairs this weekend and they are a hit!

I love Hatch enchilada sauce.
I prefer the red sauce.  Bill likes both.

This is the only piece of furniture Bill and I have had in every single home we have lived in.  Bill made this in high school shop class.  It was first a TV stand when we had a 13 inch television. Now it is the shoe shelf and it has been a shoe shelf for about 20 years. I love that my Bill made this and cherish it to this day.

My bland but delicious shelf of goodies.
Oatmeal, lentils, kamut berries, sunflower seeds, and peanuts.
