"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

The Life of a Laundry Basket

The life of a laundry basket on the Double Nickel has many cycles and many purposes. Today the laundry basket was reminded of days long ago when wee ones played in it.
The basket has duct tape covered with duct tape on a few corners but it still works and therefore lives on another day.

Thank you lunapic.com for a neat editing tool of cartoon image.
By the way, I love the little toy goat in the foreground.  The grands have a farm animal set they play with when they visit and the goat did not make it to the laundry basket with the other critters!

Living on a farm, they would have to have toy farm animals.

Yes, DD-we bought the farm animal toys about 5 years ago...even before the kids began to marry as I always knew I wanted them for any grands!
