"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

From the Files

From the file titled Things to do Around the House:
I love this so much.  I do not have a dresser to make this from.  Instead, I have a collection of old suitcases that I want to create a space  to store photos and memorabilia that I want to keep but I do not need to access daily.

This is another easy peasy idea.  I actually have a few chairs that are rough around the edges that could make a great front hall bench.  I even like the turquoise/teal color.

From the File Childhood:
This is an aerial photo of my high school.  I edited out the street names but this is where I went to school.  The meme's about going to school in the middle of a cornfield were true for me.

From the File Mom's:
I really don't need to say much about this one, do I?
From the File Art/To Paint-Draw or Whatnot:
I have taken a ton of photos of the water tank, and want to paint it from all the different views.

This is a pastel drawing that I was working on. In my head I see this on canvas and it will be a four part canvas display.  More thinking to do and therefore it rests in the File for now.

And that concludes the From the Files post.  I try and save things that will either give me an idea on making something we already have better, or something that I will actually create.  It keeps me sane doing this.  I do have a pinterest page but I really don't like to go there because it is too easy to bog down and save a zillion things.  Life isn't about overwhelming us before we even begin.  Life is to be lived within the skill set we have doing the best we can.  We are not to create perfection but peace for our homes, lives, and family.

***I must confess that without my Bill some of the projects wouldn't be.  I am more of an idea person when it comes to using the power tools as I am chicken when even thinking of using them.  So, Bill thank you for helping things from my brain come to fruition!
