"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Trash to Treasure

This old window frame with some sanding, a bit of paint and photos of the goof troop growing up became a lovely memory window.  I think I will change out the photos every now and then.  I remember how many photos we took one year for the annual photo and NONE turned out
how I thought they should be.  We ended up with 72 photos and decided to take the least worst one~how silly am I?  So what if in every single photo at least one of the kids was crying, picking their nose, looking away,or  what ever!  In the middle left are three photos of this attempt.  NONE of these three made it to the grandparents. Now I look at those photos and tears well up in my eyes as I remember my wee ones when they were truly wee ones.
This old window frame is midway through its transformation.  I am still
working on the painting, then I will sand the frame some more and put
a simple clear coat of stain on it.  I hope to finish this project soon but
it is a bigger painting and I am being more careful.  I decided last night
to paint the reverse side as well and when I want a change in the house
I will flip it around.

Final cost of my Trash to Treasure?
Bill got the windows for free and cleaned them up for me.
Photos: already had.
Paints: already had.
Therefore the items in my trash to treasure post were free.

I like the frames you made. It is good to never let anything go to waste that can be repurposed. Keep up the good work.

Thank you DD, I agree with you about waste and try and live this example every day.
