"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

I sit at my computer

reading the news of the day and pretty much must take a deep breath and walk away.  I am not ignoring the news, nor am I dismissing the emotion that I feel with back to back to back tragedies.  Instead I must step back and be thankful that I have another day with my loved ones.  I must take a moment and appreciate that while I am still here am I embracing the moments I have been granted?
In addition, I must deeply appreciate my faith and the comfort I have knowing the seasons.

With that I will share my newest farm buddy.
This cute little hummingbird hangs out on the feeder a good amount of the day.  I wash the dishes and she watches me and I talk to her.  This may sound silly, but I find such comfort in the most simple of things.

By the way we give Bibles away so if you would like a free Bible sent to you please click here and Bill and I will send you one
