"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

From the Desktop

I do love collecting images of things that make me smile or inspire. Long before Pinterest I have been doing this. Here are three from this week.

I love~love~love this idea.  I am going to do this soon here on the farm.
I have been gathering pebble size rocks for this very moment.

Since 2004ish I have pretty much gotten all my news on line.  It is so weird
to see a newscast when we are out somewhere and hear about something as
if it is news, when we read about it a day or so ago.

I love this one.  I have hummingbird feeders about and all I
have seen aside from hummingbirds are bees!

I will have to keep watch for that humming bird to see if it comes to my feeder. Then maybe I could identify it (grin).

DD-I think I'd have to go outside and take in the entire scene!! I know about the identifying of hummingbirds...just when I figure out what one I am seeing it never returns and a different one shows up! ;)
