"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

While waiting

a few weeks ago in the middle of road construction,  I snapped a photo of the sign guy.  He was busy not making any eye contact, which seriously, out in the middle of nowhere becomes very obvious.   He was on his phone the entire ten minutes and I was wondering how much longer it would be then far off I saw the lead truck, that was bringing the southbound traffic our way.  It was very strange as the lead truck was going VERY fast.

As it got closer I mentioned it to Bill, who said it probably wasn't anything but boredom, as the lead truck only had three vehicles behind him, and there was only one vehicle behind us(after ten minutes).

Then the lead truck pulled over very quickly right behind the sign guy and out jumped the driver, and without much modesty (aside from his slightly turning away) he went to the bathroom.

Yep.  He really had to go.  Oh and there were NO reststops, towns, or even porta-potties out here for these road crew workers~so I did what one should do in a situation like this, I turned my eyes and chuckled.

Nothing there but open space. No trees, so where does a dog go?? And with no trees, there is no leaves to use as T.P.

DD-lol! We never take a drive without the essentials. Water, toilet paper and for me a blanket to drape allowing for a minuscule bit of privacy!!
