"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

I love freckles

Yep. I have all of my life.
When possible, I select animals with a smattering of freckles on them.
Now I do not have any freckles.  I have two places on my lower arms where I have a brown or tan cover.  I looks a bit like an oval that appears to be a billion freckles confined to two areas, that in the winter is more noticeable, otherwise, I am freckle free.

Now to the seven siblings that are blood siblings, I thought I would share their total cuteness:
Oldest sister-look at those freckles...

Oldest brother-again look at all those cute freckles

Second oldest brother-yep still a smattering of freckles...
Second oldest sister~still loaded with cuteness
of freckles...

Then to the youngest brother~still a tad older than me
Not so many freckles...pretty much none.

By me ZERO cute freckles...
what happened?

Did my mom run out of freckles?
No.  As you can see, she even had freckles on her lips.
She told me when I was a little girl that she had freckles everywhere!
I know I saw freckles on her palms and the bottom of her feet.
BUT two of us were left out on this awesomeness.

I did not post a photo of my little sister and her freckles. She is
one of the lucky ones too, but I couldn't find a close up to reveal this.

I miss my mom and all her freckles.  Not many people are freckled as much
as my mom was, but when I see them, I tell them how very much I love freckles
and about mom.

Now as a disclaimer, I  don't think mom liked her freckles very much.
I don't recall many times she said anything about them, it is something I sensed.
She didn't have any problem letting me tire out trying to play 'connect the dots'
and never shied away from being a beautiful freckled mom, so with me at least
freckles were FANTASTIC!
It is my silly little thing to imagine a life freckled...like the rest of the family.
Oh well, someone had to have the blue eyes. I guess that will be my thing!

I like freckles, but don't have any. When I get in the sun, I tan all over. When people with freckles get in the sun they tan in spots. Maybe that proves the theory that light from the sun (or any source) travels in packets.
