"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

A post of this and that and photos that begin crying and end smiling...

It is the countdown until our local county fair and I am once again excited.

Local schools begin soon as does the local twig of the university.

Grandbaby # 2 is still growing in the womb and his momma looks as lovely as ever.

ANOTHER RATTLESNAKE was in the backyard.  It did not survive the lawnmower...

Grandbaby # 1 is 1.5 months old and makes me smile just by thinking about him.  He is over 10 lbs.

The rains have been incredible this year.  It doesn't even look like the desert on the farm.

We have about 30 quail that have taken up residence on the farm.

I went to a BBQ at oldest son's house last week.  It was so amazing to see how the kids gather and
with this I will add some photos to brighten an otherwise random afternoon.
My three sons plus adorable crying grand.

Two sons, one daughter-in-law,
one grandbaby growing,
and one daughter.

Two sons, one daughter and
one amazing young woman :)

One adorable precious family.

Oh and one smiling, styling, grandson
all dressed and ready to go to his uncle and new
auntie's wedding (on his momma's side).
