"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

The Random Life of a Housewife

These photos are a window to the randomness of my life...
Went to El Paso with half of the kiddos.  No room for the others as we
went to Costco.  Now that between the kids and Bill and I there are now
4 homes, Costco is a great place to shop.  We can buy in bulk and cram
pack the car!  In the rear~First, then Third and his sweetie pie.

Note to non-cat owners: leaving yarn or crochet projects out
are a no-no.  The yarn wrapped around the table leg, a chair,
and then across the school room, and ended up by the hallway near the
bathroom.  The guilty parties waited all night then when we began to
clean up the yarn, proceeded to think it was time to play once again.

Yep, I have rocks in the sink.  I am an unashamed rock hound
and after a quick mountain get away I had to wash the recent
finds.  Each of these rocks has a fossil in it as I love fossils.
Sigh...poor Bill.  When we moved to the farm, there wasn't any
rocks, aside from a partially graveled lane.  Now~there are hundreds
and hundreds of rocks here.  Thanks to my cuties for helping me,
especially when I needed hard to uncover rocks dug out, and heavy ones
lifted by super muscular young men!
Several times a year one of the greatest hunters
(who incidentally doesn't like to hunt), showcases her skill:
as the world's greatest spider catcher .  There is an understanding
that if a cup is turned upside down anywhere in the house~not to
lift it unless one has a shoe to end the freaky, scary critters life.
Fourth (the hunter) is not a fan of spiders.  But we have found
spiders, scorpions, vinegaroons, walking sticks, beetles, and such
that would make for an incredible Biology bug collection.  Oh Fourth
you make me smile.

While up in the mountains a rafter of turkeys ran then flew out in front
of us.  This was a quick snap of the moment.
By the way, I had to look up what a group of turkeys was called.  Each day
is a chance to learn something new!

That's it for the random sneak peak into my life.

And there I was thinking that a group of turkeys was called 'a group of turkeys' and a big group called a "big bunch" of them ;>)

Glenn-haha! I actually was originally going to label the turkeys pre-Thanksgiving Turks! The bird quite simply begs for humor, especially after seeing how they are in day to day life.
