"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar?

No one!
In all of my life I have never had a cookie jar!

Then a bloggity friend gave me one.

Now...the day I received this~I had told my Bill that I wanted to incorporate
orange into my kitchen color scheme...which is navy blue/white.

How cool is that?

When the kiddos were small, I always thought about buying a
cookie jar and never did.

I am quite content to have a cookie jar now.

As I can see down the road, grandkiddos little hands reaching up~
for a cookie from their Gramie/Oma/Lita!!

Thank you MM!

I love ORANGE - it is the hot color this year (just so you know!!!) and I am sitting at an orange and wood desk right now as I type this. Love your new cookie jar, we use (2 of) ours for dog treats and to store those ketchup/condiment packets that I can't bear to throw away. Love and hugs! btw, I am lurking again! Not sure why you are on my mind so much these days....

Carrie-how awesome! I am in style with my orangey addition! I did paint my craft room cantaloupe orange last year...so it is perhaps me! Good idea on the treats. We use an old sugar canister from a set of four canisters!! Cool to have you visiting...wonder if I am ok? You know, the cat at the nursing home that stayed with the patient that was next in line to pass away?! kidding, kidding~Lol...all is well. Maybe the 30th Lakota reunion is coming to your thoughts~just a year away. Maybe we will both go, who knows?

Gayle-it really was! :)

Deanna-it is!!
