"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

What to do

with those old t-shirts?  You could make a rug:

This is my first attempt and it will be a shower rug. Now that I have the feel for the jumbo large crochet hook, and working with t-shirt material, I plan on making more color organized rugs.

It is easy if you can crochet.

Cut t-shirts up into 1/2 inch strips of material connect together.

In the continuing theme of the farm ~nothing goes to waste.  Stay tuned for a few more t-shirt rugs as they take so little time to make.

I learned to make these rugs using pillowcases ripped into 1/2 inch wide strips. Love your re-use of things that would normally go in the trash.SJ in Vancouver BC

SJ-I thank you. Now it is so ingrained to make sure it has no use before I toss it that I know I will never change!

Maria-(((hugs))) my friend and thank you for your kind concern. All is well and I am back!
