Here is an easy project that I had been thinking about making for a while and finally decided to make it.
The hay we buy sometimes comes wrapped in wire, other times in plastic type rope. I am one that likes to find purpose for pretty much everything. With the wire, I have done several things inside and Bill has used it on the farm here and there.
For this project I just bent the wire into shapes and adorned with buttons has become a button bouquet centerpiece. As a salvage/thrifty person~I shall share that many of the buttons are from clothing that has gone on to become rags, quilts, potholders, and more.
jar vase is an apple shaped jar that apple juice came in. I liked the shape and held onto the jar-for a someday role.
Let me know if you make a button bouquet for your home!
Now here is a sneak peek at my other project that is of the plastic rope...
I am making rugs to have on the porches to wipe our boots with.
It is a pretty durable plastic and I have an abundance of it so
all I need to do is sit down and sew it! I hope to finish at least four
of these by the end of the year.
