"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

I Love Flowers

I thought I would share my flowery day!
When we moved to the farm we had a Peace Rose.  The winter of 2011 killed my Peace Rose bush, but as a little gift this rose bush began to grow.
Note the arrow-this is one of our Peace Roses in the fair 2008! As you can see the roses are clearly different. I love that I my new roses are brightening my farm~and although I miss my yellow roses- I am content!

Last flowery photo...my sweetie brought me a bouquet of flowers that grow in the desert.  To many, I am sure they would be considered weeds, but for me,  I love how simple and beautiful they are! Thank you my Bill, I love them.

White Sands Recap

First and Fourth

 First sand surfing!

Steak and squash on the grill.

Kiddos shadows~just as cute.
 Bill and the goof troop...
 Beautiful White Sands
Badminton tourney...Team 1/3 chest bumps as they score!

Yes if you really look you can see the birdie!

Badminton tourney Team 2/4 back bumps as they score!

A photo of birthday boy and his dad...wait an extra foot?

Photo bomb for the grand finale of the birthday.

Heading home-the weather conditions were well normal. It looks like snow, but is not, and the wind causes drifts etc, but all is well.

So this was the end of Third's birthday out at White Sands.  We had cake and presents first-see previous post, then came to the White Sands for fun. Oh and the badminton tourney was hilarious. I cannot express how much fun it was to watch my goofs play and enjoy being together as a family.

Third's 19th Birthday!

To play catch up~Here is Third's 19th birthday cake. Why yes, the candles are rather large. Seems like at the last minute, I could not find the pack of candles. For the record, the white candles are Hanukkah candles and the red one is from the candle drawer-not really for birthday cakes~until this April 7th!
Second and Third
And yes that is a gumball machine!  Who doesn't need a gumball machine?

Not sure about the look, but we gave Third a waffle maker, syrup, pancake mix, as well as a bunch of micro meals. Single life and critical foods make for an edible birthday!

And for the record I did find the candles~even before I cleaned up from the party!

Happy Birthday

19 years ago in a small village in Germany I had my third son. He is my blessing. Time has flown by and I cannot believe that my cutie has grown up to such a nice young man. Here are some photos of Third(as he is known in blogland) that have popped up on the blog over the years...

yes~that is a javelina.

A paintball heart. Oh I love this goof!
Oh my snuggle~buggle, I know you are grown up, but many times I see you as my little one.

On the Playground

This is the little ram playing on top of the sheep barn.  The lambs love skipping and jumping off of this, as we have a ramp to the top.

Laura the lamb playing in the trough! Note the ramp behind her...as the lambs use this to climb.

Here a lamb is on the top...
And here he is sliding down the ramp!
I would never have believed that the lambs would do this, but they run up and then slide down many times a day, as well as skipping and jumping off the top!
The newest kids on the playground jump from the stumps to the tires, then loop and run through the tires!

Life on the farm for the wee critters is simple~play hard, sleep, eat, then repeat.

No Fooling

Article
These folks lined up for a lottery ticket.  Look how neat and orderly the line is.  Not many people can imagine having a half billion dollars(or whatever the payout will be minus taxes), but many rushed out to try to win.

Ace of Spades
Many people bought tickets~hoping that they would win.  Many believed that a winning ticket-could be the ticket that would change their lives.  I thought I would like to share something that requires no money, yet comes with many promises that far surpass a half billion dollars. What is this promise filled gift? A Bible.
If you would like a Bible please click here.

By the way, we have no lines, no hassle, and of course know that through His Holy Word you can enrich your life in ways that can give you hope in times where little hope exist.
