"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Friday Five

Time for Friday Five once again.
The garden center at Lowe's the Grocery Store(not to be confused with Lowe's the Hardware Store).

The price of diesel last Saturday~let's just say we were happy. Funny a few years ago this would have shocked us~it is time to change things once again in our nation.

Lunchables for big kids...or what I packed for Bill one day. Honey-peanut butter sandwich on oat/wheat bread, with a side of summer squash cooked with butter, salt and pepper, an apple, and not pictured a salad with a spice cake slice! Who says Lunchables have to be bad?!

Gourd project in the early stages. I wrote about what I was going to do with the gourds from last year's garden here.

Looking through the mystery plant(now identified as an ornamental gourd plant replanted thanks to chicks eating seeds and pooing them out elsewhere-or in this case in the tomatoes). This photo makes it look like it is so green...I shall embrace this notion for the morning!

That's all folks...

Its a big shame about the price of diesel fuel, with the high prices per gallon it almost erases any benefits to buying a car that's diesel! Richard
