"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

April Cookbook Contest

Please excuse the delay in posting the photo of April's cookbook giveaway.  I have been pretty sick and have been delayed in much of what I have been doing!

To the contest~ I thought I would give away a cookbook sharing recipes of New Mexico. Included are 175 recipes from the Land of Enchantment to include New Mexico Trout in Marinade,  Green Chile Jelly, and Spinach Noodles with Green Chile Sauce. I confess that I actually bought this last month for this giveaway, as I wished to share some of New Mexico with my readers.

Rules for April's giveaway~You may enter one time a day.(just leave a comment)
If you are a follower of this blog-say so and you will get five additional entry's.
Or you can begin following this blog(upper left corner) and you will receive five additional entry's.
Share this contest on your blog and you will receive 10 additional entry's.

At the end of each day I will be sure to tally the comments and the contest will close on April 30 and the winner will be announced on May 1.

By the way, one of the daily comments could be how you found this blog as I always wonder!

Take care and stay healthy!
Jennifer

Here I am again! :) Of course, you know that I am a follower of your blog. I am so so sorry that you have been sick. I was wonder why you were so quiet. I miss our daily interactions (as you know I have little adult real-life contact!!). I hope you are on the mend. I am planting the pepper seeds tomorrow that you sent. I was just gifted 6-packs so I could continue planting. Hopefully it won't be too late for them to produce (I am going to store some of the seeds to use next season). Looking forward to your regular posting. Curious to see how the kitchen is coming along. :)

I have been looking for some new recipes, and New Mexico cooking would be perfect, since I live here, but didn't grow up here. I do follow your blog.
Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds delish! Throw my name in the pot for the cookbook! I already read your blog, but you don't have a follower button on your sidebar. And I WILL post about it for sure!

With the heat your having tonight will be a perfect night for Mexican food (one of my favorite).
