"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Saturday on the farm

Little bit busy today on the farm. I thought I would share a few photos and then off I go!

Here are the puppies~ Delilah and Samson. Aren't they cute?

I borrowed this photo of Samson and my daughter(from her FB page). I love it.

One more of Samson. Little stinker, he loves to wander of the farm. Hope we can train this behavior out of him. Looks like he ate peanut butter or something!

I took this early and the sunrise kind of impacted the photo. How do you know a turkey went by? By his tracks...oh and a few hens, a dog and well this and that too!

In honor of all those planking, we on the farm are hip~now~and with the current trends. Here is planking on the farm. This is a plank path to our garbage area. With the moisture from snow this winter, I am trying to reduce the muck brought in by the family, so I made a plank path. Like the previous photo, I took this early and so the quality is kind of off. (ps...seems like the sheep like the planking too...as they left a raisin trail!)

Have a wonderful Saturday.

Hey Jen, love your label, "...should have wore socks but with crocs it is a fashion no no" Just you remember that crocs don't protect from thorns! I found that out with a needle hiding in my daughter the messy sewer's shag rug, ouch!

My daughter was wondering what kind of dogs Samson and Delila are?

Hope your toesies thawed out!

We are at 31 degrees for our high today and it is windy! Brrrr

We visited some friends in Charleston. My son played with their two cats, and a dog that looked just like that.

If you ask him about Charleston, he can still remember the name so of the dog and cats, but he is is fuzzy on the people.

Lol Muse- believe me I know. I am saving to order some wooden shoes. Yes like they wear in Holland. I am getting 2 pair...as the thorns being 1.5 inches are crippling. I wish I was a boot person but my height limitations make the boots come nearly to my knees, so I wear crocs and am planning the wooden shoes. Imagine that!

LOL Kymber- yep, we are uber awesome here. Can't believe how "in" we are! And about the socks-I am not a sock person. I own three pair. I have no idea why this is that I do not like socks...so living where I rarely need them is kind of important :)

Mystic- I agree but as her mamma, I am severely biased!!

Deanna-they are Great Pyrenees, and are being trained as working dogs for the farm. I am sending warm thoughts your way. We ended up warming up and yes the toes are fine~until manana!!

Michelle~me too. I kind of stumbled upon this idea, and actually like how it looks here and there. This is a cell phone photo...I need to take a few with the camera to share the places we planked!

Oh Russell-your son and I would get along great, as he could visit with all the animals as I do!
