"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

And 2012 is the year of the

This is a Carl Larsson print and I love it. Flowers on the windowsill, knitting on the table, a throw blanket over the couch~how simple!

I have been plotting and planning for several months what I am going to grow in my desert oasis. I have a few eclectic planters and by the time I plant I will have several more. I suppose the enthusiasm for the sign post has made me more willing to share some of the more eclectic things about the farm!

So 2012 will add beauty to the farm. We will continue with our gardens, our animals, our trees, and of course living in a climate that most pass by as we add yet one more thing to our lives.

Thanks for commenting on my blog this morning. I LOVE Carl Larsson prints and have never seen this one .. it is a mirror picture of my dining room windowsill with my potted plants soaking up the few rays of the winter sun. Always and forever .. aaah, now these are very good highlights of a good marriage.

Blessings on your day.
