"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Bill is Home

and is doing well. Recovery will be several weeks/months... I am a wee bit tired but very thankful.

He had a view of Mexico from his hospital room. I am thankful for the hospital staff as they were so kind and compassionate during his surgery and stay.

Bill's view now is the lovely Sacramento Mountains~or as I call them "My mountains!"

We rearranged a bit, knowing of his surgery and recovery and placed the bed so he can look out to the mountains and see our critters wander to and fro. Mental health is a key for physical recovery...I know it and I am glad we are here to be the support and strength that Bill needs. He has been there for all of us for so long, it is nice we can be there for him.

oh i just knew that he would come through like the strong trooper that he is! i understand that you are tired - my poor darling friend. but you know that when he recovers - he`ll be good as gold again.

i am so happy for this update! we always have you and yours in our thoughts and prayers daily...but i must admit that i have been a little worried.

i hope that Bill enjoys the view of your mountains while he recovers. please pass all of our love on to him - he is such a great man!

and please know, Jennifer, that every time i do a `simple living`thing - that i always think of you and remember how much that you have taught me.

your friend,

Hope he recovers quickly. I have not been keeping up on blogs lately, was this surgery due to his long ago accident or something new? Whatever, I wish him well and the same goes for you and the rest of your family.

All the best,
