"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Farewell July

My summer has been crazy and not typical in any measure. As of Friday the month of July has been scrubbed from the planning books, as I will be sitting on a jury that may take three weeks to try.

In addition to the trial, I have been taking a few night classes on base so I will miss you July. Well probably not as much as I will miss my sweetie or the teens, but I will miss the late night gazing at the stars, swimming, barbecues in the middle of the week for no reason, quick trips to the park, the zoo, or even watching a movie.

Farewell July!
August I look forward to you!

This makes me sad...I hate that feeling of overwhelming commitments/no control over schedule...

Thank you Liz, but I am certain that I will survive as will the family...I do dislike the commitment I had not factored in, as it is and will be so consuming. Saturday i worked from dawn til late night, cleaning, doing extra needed things, and making lists etc. I am very happy this is only for a few weeks and that I am a stay home wife. My hat goes off to those who have to work and then work at home too...amazing!
