Food Storage Giveaway! Comments closed April 19

Augason Farms is a family owned business that began in 1972. This company offers dehydrated and freeze dried foods for your storage convenience. Double Nickel Farm is hosting not one but two separate giveaways! One is for the Breakfast Pack~ the other is for the Dinner Pack.

For this giveaway all you need to do is leave a comment. You may comment once a day for seven days...the winner of the Breakfast Pack will be announced next Monday!

I have written often about preparing for times ahead. Augason Farms offers products that will enable you to do so, with products that are delicious, nutritious and prepared for a long shelf life. Properly stored these products can last from 20- 30 years!

The Breakfast pack contains six number 10 cans.

Creamy wheat cereal

Pancake Mix

Scrambled Egg Mix

Potato Shreds

Bacon Bits

Freeze Dried Whole Strawberries

The Breakfast Pack is a $78.28 value. Don't forget the contest ends Sunday April 18 at 11:59 pm.

Please remember that poor financial management by a government can and will impact its citizens. Now is the time to prepare for the worst and expect the best.

ps...the winner will need to forward me their email address and home address!

CONTEST CLOSED APRIL 19.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ENTERING!
COME BACK THIS WEEK FOR THE SECOND CONTEST!

Lucky for me, I'm having one of those sleepless nights. You just posted the start of the contest 13 minutes ago, so surely mine will be one of the first comments!

I have to admit, my wife and I think your little goats are cute! We're going to do some chickens this summer with the kids and hopefully move up to goats, etc. next year. ;-)

Awesome give away! that would make a great addition to my food storage stuff.

Here's my comment:

I like chatting with HW on APN chat, and wanna win free breakfast...

Oh yeah, and any word on those patches? I have a fire patch sitting here for your son, and a patch from my new employer for your hubby!

WomanWhoRunsWithHorses said...

Good morning, Jen. The only prepackaged meals I've really experienced on MREs but I agree with Celt, this breakfast pack looks great!

Thanks for the canning advice in chat last night.

We've been prepping for about a year now and my wife and I are looking to expand our food storage.

Karen said...

Great idea. You had a few posts about stocking up for an emergency about a year ago that made me consciously start stocking up on high-nutrient non-perishables and water. Thanks, Jen

Since I am seriously considering running away from home, this could come in really handy for me.. consider myself entered

My wife and I are just getting started on being prepared. With everything we're seeing I don't know why we waited so long. It's confusing not knowing where to start, then not knowing what to put up or how to put it up. We've purchased a boiling water canner and some jars, but our small garden is a long way from producing. I have a feeling a good amount of our food storage is going to come in prepared #10 cans.

Michael said...

The food is making me hungry

I LOVE THIS GIVEAWAY!!
My husband and I have been collecting all sorts of foods like this for not only camping and hiking, but also for preparing our "bug-out" bags! I have never tried this company before and really hope we win so we can try them over the summer on some of our trips!

justdifferent's comment above made me smile. We all seem to have those days when we'd just like to run away.

And what a great addition this breakfast package would be to home food storage.

I would love to win this. Any idea what food allergens they may contain?

I've been reading Salbuchi, Celente, Faber, etc, etc and they all say to stock up on non perishables. From what I can tell, America is in deep doo and most don't know it or refuse to see it. Good luck, America. You're going to need it.

WOW what a great givaway! I have read your blog for a while now and I really appreciate what you have to say about "stuff" but especially your storage posts.

Also, my son was at Ft. Lewis, but he was deployed most of that time, he is now out of the Army as of February.

Blessings to your family.

Go to YouTube.com Enter the search words "American food shortage". The most reliable financial experts are Adrian Salbuchi, Gerald Celente, Marc Faber and Bob Chapman.

It breaks my heart to see what is in Americans' future. PREPARE.

Store nonperishables and be quiet about it unless you want the hungry masses on your doorstep.

I belong to American Preppers and found your link on their site. This is really awesome, considering the times we're living in. I've always been careful to keep extra supplies on hand but have put a push on it in the past few years...especially now! We have a large family, whom I think will try to head this way when a disaster hits. Please use this as an entry for me. Thank you!

No truer words have ever been spoken. Each and every action by our government affects our survival plans appropriately. If as you say our government is careless in their financial affairs then this will impact us accordingly. It is up to each prepper to prepare and be ready for any emergency that we will eventually encounter. We must learn to take care of ourselves.

FOOD Giveaway?? I love FOOD! lol
I love breakfast foods most of all!! YUM, YUM!

So here is my comment, a little poem:

Food Storage and emergency preparation,
Is perfect for folks prone to procrastination.

We all like to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner,
Or else we will get thinner.

So, do not fail to be prepared,
Or else when disaster comes you will be scared.

Something for the pantry - what a great feeling!

Shirley said...

Everyone should have nonperishable food stocked for emergencies--minimum a week, but try to get one or two years' worth. Dehydrated and freeze-dried food should be part of your storage pantry. Winning this contest is a good start!

Hi Jennifer,

I just wanted to say that I visited Auguson Farms website and if I don't win, I AM still going to buy some items from them. They have an awesome website with some good food choices and they even have some gluten free products I would like to have. I only had time to comment 3 times, but I loved reading all the blogs so far.

Hi -
I've been prepping since November 2008 and no, that the election occurred then is not a coincidence. Just found your site today as I am always on the look-out for fabulous ideas such as I've found here.
Your contest is a great way of expanding the message and helping to make folks more self-sufficient. Thanks!

My husband and I just started prepping this year - mostly because of the frightening things we see happening with our out of control government. Having experienced the devastation of Hurricane Andrew I can see how valuable this product would be to people living in potential disaster zones. I sure hope I win your contest!!

I'm not an experienced blogger but I would love for you to follow my brand new blog at organicsandmore.blogspot.com
