"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Was that a cow you guys raised or did you buy it at aucttion or something like that? I would travel to upstae NY to a farm auction if I had a place to butcher a cow - or sheep - or pig- or maybe evena goat. They have great prices at those auctions as compared to in the package steaks. Taste better too when you butcher it yourself - that I know from some limited experience.

Enjoy all that good beef.

By the way, nice to have you back again.

All the best,
GB

Through a good friend we ended up getting this cow and raised her. Yes we are very excited to have meat that we know so much about!!

Thanks by the way Glenn!! In the lower pic are my middle two kids...long story about the cow, but dollar for dollar we are going to end up paying about 50 cents a pound after tallying the cost of food, and the final butchering for the freezer.
